Mortgage Checklist

In preparation of moving quickly and efficiently through the mortgage loan application process, please provide the following to your Mortgage Consultant:

  • Valid driver's license or other government issued photo identification
  • Accurate addresses and landlord/mortgage information for the past two years
  • Most recent two full monthly bank statements, (to include all pages even if blank).  Note: Activity printouts are not permitted as an acceptable form of asset verification for initial application document submission
  • Most recent quarterly, or two most recent full monthly statements for other asset accounts inclusive of account types such as retirement, IRA, stock, and mutual funds
  • If applicable, copy of fully executed purchase contract including all addendums and residential property disclosure forms
  • Homeowner's insurance agent/agency contact information

For Salaried Borrowers:

  • Most recent pay stubs to cover a period of 30 days
  • Most recent W2 forms for the past two years

For Self-Employed Borrowers, (owning more than 25% of a business):

  • Most recent federal and business tax returns for the past two years, including all schedules
  • Year-to-date profit and loss statement and balance sheet

Additionally, if applicable, please provide:

  • Copy of award letter if currently receiving social security, disability, or retirement income
  • If employed for less than two full years, copy of college transcripts or diploma/degree
  • For our veterans, copy of Certificate of Eligibility and form DD-214
  • Copy of bankruptcy petition and discharge papers
  • Copy of separation agreement and/or final divorce decree
  • Copy of child support/alimony order and/or copy of shared parenting agreement
  • List of any properties currently owned and copies of any applicable monthly mortgage statements
  • For investment properties purchased within the last year, submit a copy of any applicable lease agreements, likewise, provide a copy of a closing disclosure for any properties sold within the last year
